St. Bonaventure women’s rugby was established in 1998 and has grown into one of the leading teams in the region with multiple national rankings and state championships. From calling themselves "The Legends" in the late ’90s to representing the Brown and White as Bonnies today, our women have seen continued growth in numbers and victories over the years.
Our players and coaches thrive on team building, togetherness, and being there for one another on and off the pitch. They are also committed to instilling our Franciscan values of compassion, wisdom, and integrity through an elite rugby experience.
The team won the National Collegiate Rugby Small College National Championship in 2023. Now, the team competes at the Division 1 level in National Collegiate Rugby (NCR).
