Gifts to Club Sport- Men's Hockey contribute to...
Founded in the early '70s, the men's club hockey team is one of the first club sports established at St. Bonaventure University.
What started out as a club then became an NCAA team before returning to its club roots in the mid ‘90s. The bond between the icers from all those teams remains strong.
The support in the stands wherever our hockey team plays is always felt. Hockey reunions through the years have tied our club and NCAA players together as one program.
The hockey program has a strong culture of brotherhood, tying in our Franciscan values of compassion, wisdom, and integrity. The growth of the program over the years is due to the commitment from these young men to represent not only the university but the alumni who came before them.
Today, St. Bonaventure has two men's club ice hockey teams! Each team roster can accommodate 30 players per year. Home games are played at the William O. Smith Center in Olean, just four miles from campus.
